AT SEA

Bridge wing just prior to sailing from Nassau.  Staff Captain on left, Captain in middle, and port pilot.
It's 3:00 pm now and we are just over half way between Nassau and Bermuda.  The Atlantic Ocean is being the Atlantic Ocean which means the ship has been moving about due to high winds and swells.  The outer decks have been closed since last night due to the high winds.  It really is not that uncomfortable but you would be hard pressed to walk a straight line down hallways.  At noon the Captain the weather and seas should be improving as the day goes on.  Twenty four more hours before we get to Hamilton, Bermuda.  It is now sunny 70 degrees on pool deck.  That deck is protected from the wind so several folks are laying out at pool.
We had a great time last night in the Compass Rose dining room.  Goran (F&B Director) and Rose Mary (Chief Housekeeper) hosted our table which included a nice couple from Florida.  Goran is a fun guy and kept us laughing.  After dinner we went to the showroom to see the Jean Ann Ryan singers and dancers performance of "Broadway Tonight".  It was fantastic.  Alan and Lucy, the specialty dance couple, were incredible!  They have another show tomorrow night.

A Sunday morning tradition on Regent is caviar and champagne in Compass Rose dining room for breakfast.
At 11:00 we went to the showroom to listen to Alan & Nathan, two of the dancers whom we have known for a long time.  They have both advised and trained dancers on the tv shows:  "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance".  It was fascinating to hear the "inside" story about the professional dancers and the contestants.  Simply amazing to learn of all the work that is done before we get to see the show on tv.  Alan & Nathan have worked with Mark Ballas, Derrick & Julienne Hough for years.
Tex-Mex food was lunch special today and was probably best we have had on any cruise ship.  This afternoon we went up to fitness center for our workout.  Surprisingly, it was empty.  Guess all these old folks were taking naps.
