The island of Bermuda.
Where Bermuda is in relation to the States.
The Bermuda pilot being transferred to our ship.
Taken from back of the ship. The water is beautiful blue.
Let me start this post with how our last evening went. We had a 7:00 pm reservation for dinner in Prime 7 (the steakhouse). We knew the maitre 'd from previous cruises so he had a nice table picked out for us. I had an excellent prime NY strip steak and Rebecca had the Dover sole. After dinner we went to the showroom to see the headliner entertainer, Jimmy Smith. He is a comedian/guitarist from Nashville, TN. He was very funny and we both loved his show. He will do another show later this cruise.
This morning the ship's senior officers hosted a breakfast for Regent's best customers (those with 75 nights or more on Regent). We are Platinum level now with over 300 nights. At around 11:30 we approached the island from the south and sailed up the east side, crossing north side, then sailing south down the west side. Not sure why we took the long way around the island to reach Hamilton but it provided Rebecca and I a great view from our balcony window. Sailing into the channel to Hamilton was beautiful and I took several photos that I will have to send via email as I did this morning with other photos.
It is now 2:50 pm and we are docked at the pier right next to downtown Hamilton. Great parking spot and advantage of being on a small cruise ship!! Our tour is not until tomorrow morning but we may walk off the ship in a few minutes and see downtown.
On tap for this evening is dinner with Goran, the F&B Director. It is a very long and funny story but he is having the chef prepare veal parmesan for just the three of us. After dinner we will be going to the second of three production shows by the Jean Ann Ryan singers and dancers. Tonight's show is "Dawning of Aquarius" musical.
Ok, that's it for today. It is a beautiful, sunny day with temperature in low 70's so going ashore to see the city.
